Diabetes is a chronic disease in which the body does not produce or properly use insulin. Insulin is a hormone that is needed to convert sugar, starches and other food into energy which is essential for daily life. The cause of diabetes continues to be an unsolved mystery, but factors such as although both obesity and lack of exercise appear to play roles.

Diabetes often goes undiagnosed by those who are suffering from it because most of its symptoms seem so harmless. Recent studies show that an early detection of diabetes symptoms and treatment can decrease the chance of developing the complications of diabetes.

*Unusual weight loss *Excessive hunger and thirst *Frequent urination *Increased fatigue *Itching of the skin and genitals *Infections of skin *Blurred vision *Paraesthesia in the feet or hand

*Frequent urination and excessive thirst:

While suffering from diabetes, extra sugar gets built in your blood. Then, your kidneys are compelled to overtime work to absorb and filter the excess sugar. If your kidneys can’t work overtime, so the extra sugar is excreted into your urine along with the fluids which is drawn from your tissues. This results in more frequent urine. Because of this, you may feel dehydrated.

*Increased fatigue:

Sometimes a flu-like illness resembles the diabetes symptoms. You may observe weakness, fatigue, weakness and loss of appetite. This is just because of poorly controlled diabetes which hampers your body’s ability to use sugar for energy. So this leaves you with a feeling of fatigue and drowsiness.

*Unusual Weight gain or loss:

Fluctuation in weight also comes under the symptoms of the diabetes. Lots of calories are reduced when sugar is lost with frequent urination. Being overweight is also a key factor for having Type 2 diabetes. This is because being overweight makes the tissues more resistant to insulin action by which level of blood sugar increases.

*Blurred vision

Through eyes, the symptoms of diabetes can be noticed. As fluid is pulled from your tissues with high level of blood sugar, it affects your visual ability.

*Excitement in hands and feet

Nerves get damaged due to extra sugar in your body. This may results in loss of sensation and tingling in your feet and hands. You tend to feel excitement like burning pain in your legs, hands, feet and arms.
